Artist Statement

I’m Richa Shukla, a professional artist based in Chestermere, Canada. I’ve always believed that creativity lives quietly inside all of us sometimes we just need the courage to let it out. Painting is how I make sense of my emotions and the world around me. It’s where I can be honest, vulnerable, and free.

My work often reflects the feelings we don’t always talk about but deeply experience. I’m drawn to those quiet, in-between moments that hold more meaning than they seem to at first glance.Through my art, I hope to bring a little softness and light into people’s spaces. If someone stands in front of my work and feels something real a memory, a sense of calm, or even a quiet understanding that means everything to me.

Artist Biography

Richa Shukla is an Abstract Realism artist whose work blends between reality and imagination, creating spaces that feel both grounded and dreamlike.

After earning a degree in commercial arts and holding two successful exhibitions in India, she moved to Canada in 2006. Life shifted, priorities changed, and she took a creative pause to focus on her family. But art never truly left her. She later graduated from the Mastery Program at the Milan Art Institute and is now an Exhibiting Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA).

Her work today reflects resilience, balance, and rediscovery. Each painting carries layers of emotion and lived experience, capturing both the strength and softness of life. She is especially drawn to themes of nature, spirituality, and the inner world we often overlook in the rush of daily life.

Through her evolving body of work, Richa hopes to create moments of pause inviting viewers to reflect, reconnect, and perhaps see a part of themselves in the canvas.
